Program Overview

B.B.A LL.B. offers students the opportunity to enter the field of legal education at a very early stage of their academic career. It is the integrated programme of law where students get the opportunity to simultaneously study law and humanities. The allied subjects offered under this programme are English, Political Science, History, Sociology, Business Studies, and Management.

It is a five-year programme comprising ten semesters on completion of which a student earns a graduate degree in law and provides compulsory practical training and mandatory Moot Court practice.

Scope of BBA LLB

BBA LLB degree opens up a lot of numbers of opportunities for the students. Most of the students who pursue this course wish to become a judge or an advocate. After graduation, students can prepare for Indian Civil Service, State Legal Services and Public Service Commission Entrance exams.

To become a judge or an advocate, students need to clear the AIBE (All India Bar Examination). After clearing this exam, students will be granted with a "Certificate of Practice", allowing them to practice as an advocate in any part of India.

Lawyer / Advocate

A person who takes the case into the court and fights for the client. He represents the client in front of the judge.

Legal Advisor

Provides legal advice to firms, government bodies, or companies, acting as an internal advocate to protect their interests.

Sessional / District Judge

Gives judgements for the issues brought to the courtroom by the parties or advocates after thorough legal review.

Public Prosecutor

A person appointed by the government to represent the state and fight against criminal offences in court.

Teacher / Lecturer

Graduates can also pursue academia, becoming law teachers or lecturers in prestigious law institutes.

Minimum Eligibility for BBA LLB

Candidates seeking admission need to meet the eligibility criteria including academic qualification from a recognised board (10+2).

The BCI (Bar Council of India) states no minimum or maximum age limit criteria for admissions.
