TRAINING ACTIVITIES REPORT 2026
The Training and Placement Department actively organized various aptitude, soft skills, and technical training programs during the academic session 2025-26 with the objective of improving students' employability skills, technical competency, communication abilities, and industry readiness. These initiatives were conducted for students of B.Tech, B.Pharm., BBA, B.Com., and BCA programs through classroom sessions, workshops, practical learning, mock assessments, and industry-oriented activities.
Non-Technical Training Activities
Aptitude Training sessions were conducted for students of BBA, B.Com., and BCA (1st and 2nd Year) under CDIPS. The sessions focused on quantitative aptitude, analytical reasoning, and logical problem-solving techniques. Students participated regularly through classroom-based practice sessions designed to strengthen their aptitude skills and competitive examination readiness.
For B.Tech VI Semester students, CDGI organized a four-week intensive Aptitude Training Workshop with an average participation of more than 100 students daily and a total attendance of 1005 students. The workshop focused on important campus placement topics, shortcut techniques, and smart problem-solving approaches. More than 400 company-specific aptitude questions were shared with students for continuous practice and preparation. The training significantly improved students' confidence, speed, and accuracy in solving placement-oriented aptitude questions.
Soft Skills Training was also conducted for B Tech VI Semester students in both lecture and workshop modes. The sessions included communication skills, resume building, interpersonal skills, presentation techniques, group activities, and corporate etiquette. Special emphasis was given to Presentation Skills (Level 1 to Level 6) for improving students' corporate communication and convincing abilities. The training helped students build confidence in interviews, group discussions, and professional interactions.
Additionally, soft skills sessions were organized for B.Pharm. 1st Year students under CDIP. The program covered basic communication techniques, GD/PI preparation, body language improvement, and mock group discussion activities. These sessions aimed to develop personality traits and communication confidence among students at an early stage of their academic journey.
During the execution of these activities, certain challenges were identified, including low participation in some CDIPS programs and noticeable skill gaps requiring additional practice and assessment support. To address these concerns, the department has planned several improvement initiatives for the upcoming session. These include conduction of mock aptitude tests for B.Tech VI Semester students in physical mode at CDGI computer labs, take-home aptitude assessments for CDIPS UG students after final examinations during June-July 2026, and individual mock interview sessions for upcoming VII Semester students.
Technical Training Activities Report -2026
The Technical Training Program (CRT) was conducted for students of all computer-allied branches with the objective of enhancing technical knowledge, practical exposure, programming capabilities, and industry-oriented learning. The program was structured semester-wise to ensure progressive skill development aligned with current industry requirements.
For B.Tech II Semester students, training on C++ with OOPS Concepts was conducted for 13 sections through four lectures per week in theory and laboratory mode. The sessions focused on programming fundamentals, logical thinking, and object-oriented programming concepts.
For B.Tech IV Semester students, technical training on Java and Python Programming was organized for 9 sections. Students were introduced to programming syntax, application development concepts, coding practices, and problem-solving approaches through practical and theory-based sessions.
Advanced technical training for B Tech VI Semester students was conducted on Artificial Intelligence and React Development for 7 sections. The training included exposure to emerging technologies, modern web development frameworks, and practical implementation of AI concepts. The sessions were conducted through theory classes and hands-on laboratory activities to improve practical understanding and technical proficiency.
To evaluate learning outcomes and technical competency, online assessments and mock tests were conducted after completion of training modules. For II and IV Semester students, online tests were organized in their respective technical domains. VI Semester students underwent mock assessment tests in Python with Machine Learning, Java, Web Development, and C/C++. These assessments helped students evaluate their technical understanding and placement preparedness. The Training and Placement Department remains committed to bridging the gap between academics and industry expectations through continuous learning initiatives, structured technical training, aptitude enhancement programs, and personality development activities. The department will continue to organize career-oriented programs to strengthen students' professional skills and improve overall placement readiness in the coming academic sessions.
