About Dr. Prerana Sharma
Dr. Prerana Sharma is a Professor at Chameli Devi Group of Institutions (CDGI), Indore, Madhya Pradesh, with more than 23 years of experience in teaching, research, student mentoring, and academic activities. She has four years of research experience at Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya (DAVV), Indore, followed by six years of teaching experience at Indore Institute of Science and Technology, Indore. She has been associated with Chameli Devi Group of Institutions for the last 13 years.
Dr. Sharma completed her Ph.D. in Physics from Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya, Indore She holds an MBA in Human Resource Management from the Directorate of Distance Education, Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya, Indore, She obtained her M.Sc. in Physics from Government Degree College, Indore, Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya.
Her primary research interests include high-pressure phase transitions and the mechanical and elastic properties of partially ionic semiconductors. Her research contributions cover structural phase transformations, pressure-dependent elastic properties, semiconductor materials, diluted magnetic semiconductors, alkaline earth chalcogenides, perovskite materials, and materials characterization.
Dr. Sharma has published research papers in international and national journals and has presented her research at various national conferences and academic forums. Her publications include research on Zn-based semiconducting compounds, diluted magnetic semiconductors, lanthanum monochalcogenides, alkaline earth chalcogenides, perovskite materials, and high-pressure structural transformations. She has also contributed research and academic work related to energy conservation, sustainable development, and emerging technological and societal issues.
She was appointed as a Ph.D. Guide on 04 February 2020, reflecting her involvement in postgraduate research and academic supervision.
