About Dr. Ruma Arora
Dr. Ruma Arora is working as an Associate Professor in the Engineering Science Department at Chameli Devi Group of Institutions (CDGI), Indore, Madhya Pradesh. She has extensive experience in teaching, research, academic administration, and institutional development. She completed her Ph.D. in “Experimental Analysis of Spirulina Cultivation in Open Pond and Photobioreactor” from Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology (MANIT), Bhopal, in July 2020. She holds an M.Tech. in Nanotechnology from UTD–RGPV, Bhopal, with a CGPA of 8.34, and an M.Sc. in Applied Chemistry from Samrat Ashok Technological Institute, Vidisha, with 70.40%.
Dr. Arora's major research interests include Applied Chemistry, Chemical Sciences, Nanotechnology, Nanochemistry, Environmental Sciences, Bioenergy, Biofuels, Bio-sciences, Renewable Energy, and Sustainable Technologies. Her doctoral and research work has particularly focused on Spirulina cultivation, microalgal biomass, biofuels, biohydrogen, biophotovoltaics, photobioreactors, and sustainable energy applications.

At CDGI, she has served in several important academic and administrative roles, including Professor-in-Charge of the Research & Development Cell, Head of Engineering Chemistry Department, Faculty Advisor for IEEE and Institution of Engineers student chapters, Professor-in-Charge of the Library, Head of the Energy Swaraj Club, Chief Warden of the Girls' Hostel, Chief Editor of the Saptrang Magazine, NBA & NAAC Coordinator Member, and Core Member of the Citronics Annual Techno-Management Fest.
