e-Yantra Robotics Lab

About e-Yantra

The e-Yantra Project is an initiative by IIT Bombay that aims to create the next generation of embedded systems engineers. Sponsored by the Ministry of Education (formerly MHRD) under NMEICT, it harnesses intellectual talent to create utility-based robotic applications for agriculture, defense, manufacturing, and services.

CDGI has established the e-Yantra Robotics Lab under the eLSI (Lab Set-up Initiative). The lab trains students in embedded systems and micro-controller programming through Project Based Learning (PBL).

Benefits to Students

  • Awareness of embedded systems, robotics technology and mechatronics.
  • Platform to design, develop, program and test robots for various applications.
  • Opportunity to participate in national and international robotics competitions.
  • Improvement of BE projects with help from the e-Yantra open source community.
  • Exposure to job opportunities in the rapidly growing robotics industry.
  • Encouragement to use robots to solve real-life challenges.
