TWO-WEEK ISTE WORKSHOP on Introduction to Structural Engineering:-

• Certification of two days workshop in "PEB Structure".
• Certified in "Entrepreneurship Awareness Camp" as an associate coordinator (EDII).
• Certification of International conference (ICRTERT-2018) as a co-convener.
• Certification of National Conference on "Harnessing The Demographic Dividend".
• Certification of one week workshop in "AUTOMATED MANUFACTURING SYSTEM" (NITTR, KOLKATA).

Workshop on 'Environmental Studies'

The Faculty members Mr. Prashant N. Nilugal, Mr. Manish Pandey, Mrs. Shivangi Singh Chauhan, and Mr. Vikas Patidar attended two weeks Workshop on Environmental Studies conducted by IIT, Mumbai.

Mission 10x

The Faculty members Mr. Prashant N. Nilugal, Mrs. Shivangi Singh Chauhan, Mr. Pratish Awasthi and Mr. Ramanjeet Singh Khanuja attended four days Workshop on teaching methodologies called as Mission 10x sponsored by Wipro. The team has secured second place among available 07 teams.

ETABS & RCDC Software

On 15/11/2017 the lecture was delivered by Mr. Quaid johar Senior, consultant SACE Pune. He explained about different softwares used in civil engineering and their uses and applications. Around 48 students of 3rd & 4th year attended the session on ETABS & RCDC from SACE.

Auto Cad 2D&3D Software

On 18/11/2017 the seminar was delivered by Mr. Avinash Srivastava, manager from ARK solutions, he explained about the basic softwares which are useful for the civil engineers. He also explained about importance of new version of Auto Cad 3D to the students. Around 30 Students attended the session on Auto CADD 2D & 3D, Primavera & Stadd Pro from ARK Solutions, Indore.

Software training: (Auto Cad 2D&3D and ETABS & RCDC)

35 students of Civil Engineering Department successfully completed the Software Training program and exam on ETABS & RCDC conducted by SACE, Pune in the month of December 2017. And 28 students of Civil Engineering Department successfully completed the Software Training program and exam on AutoCAD 2D&3D conducted by SACE, Pune in the month of December 2017.

Skill Development Training

Students of third year Civil Engineering took part in skill development training conducted by Path (I) Ltd. From 8th February 2018 to 18th February 2018. During this period, students learnt about various operations conducted in the maintenance of Road construction equipment. Students obtained hands on experience with the procedure involved in the construction of highways.

Technical Talks

Department of Civil Engineering has conducted Technical interactive talk by the Industry Expert on 1st June 2017 By The Retired & Head of SGSITS Indore, about Concrete technology.

Departmental Activities:

Civil Bridge Championship

The department has conducted 2 day's India's biggest civil championship on 06th and 07th of October 2015 on bridge making in association with Gadget's. CDGI is selected as regional centre for Indore region. In these 165 students participated in 33 groups and 07 groups are selected for National level competition which was held on April May 2016 in Mumbai.

Truss Bridge making Competition

On the occasion of Engineer's day, Truss Bridge making Competition was organized for Civil 2nd & 3rd year students, around 38 students participated.

Student's Industrial Orientation

Students were taken on industrial visits to facilities of some well-known companies to expose them to practical aspects of various Civil engineering concepts. It was also an opportunity for students to learn and deal with work and professional requirements.
